Brett Lucas is a multifaceted guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer, who started his career at a young age performing in Detroit’s Blues scene.  He received his Jazz Studies degree from Wayne State University.  As a guitarist, Brett has played along side some of Detroit finest Blues artists including Thornetta Davis, Jimmy McCarty, Johnnie Bassett and is currently the music director and guitarist for living soul legend Bettye Lavette.  Brett has written and released four solo albums including his most recent Soul and Courage (2019).  He has produced albums for Jeremy Spencer (of Fleetwood Mac fame), Tosha Owens and others.  Brett has performed on stages across the world including the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Byron Bay Blues Festival (Australia), Carnegie Hall and on many TV appearances including Late Night with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Austin City Limits among others.
